Montepulciano 80% Syrah 20%
PRODUCTION AREA:
The grapes used to produce this wine come from the best vineyard in Ostra in the province of Ancona.
ALTITUDE:
200 mt. Above sea level.
CULTIVATION OF THE VINE:
Low spurred cordon system on sloping hills, with mainly clay and limy soil of medium consistency.
GRAPES PER VINE:
1 - 1,5 Kg. (about)
WINE MAKING:
Soft pressing of the grapes placed in small boxes with stemming, controlled temperature fermentation in steel vats. 8-10 days maceration with pressing.
AGEING:
Between 8 and 12 months in small 225 litres french oak barrels, used for the second time. The wine then finishes its ageing in the bottle for about 12 months before being sold.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERS:
Full ruby red colour, live and brilliant. Fresh and intense aroma, with a definite scent of fruit of the forest and vanilla. Has a warm and robust flavour, well bodied wine, pleasent and harmonious.
ACCOMPANIAMENTS:
Wine with a great structure, it adapts well to main red meat dishes and vintage cheeses.
IDEAL SERVING TEMPERATURE:
16-18 degrees
PRESERVATION:
It is advisable to keep the bottle in a cool and ventilated place, protecting it from any heat or light sources.
