PRODUCTION AREA:
The grapes used to produce this wine, come from our vineyards in Ostra in the province of Ancona.
VINEYARDS ALTITUDE:
200 - 250 mt. Above sea level
VINEYARDS CHARACTERISTICS:
Low spurred cordon system on sloping hills, with mainly clay and limy soil of medium consistency.
GRAPES PRODUCED PER VINE:
1,5 - 2 Kg. (about)
WINE MAKING:
Soft pressing of the grapes placed in small boxes with destemming, controlled temperature fermentation in steel vats, with 8 - 10 days maceration with pressing.
MATURATION:
Maturation in steel about 2 months and then continue maturation in french oak barrique of 225 litres at least 8 months and subsequent refinement in the bottle at least 3 months before being put on the market.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:
Full ruby red color, live and brilliant.
Fresh and intense aroma, with a definite scent of fruit of the forest and vanilla.
Has a warm and robust flavour, well bodied wine, pleasent and harmonious.
GASTRONOMIC COMBINATIONS:
Wine with a great structure, it adapts well to main red meat dishes and vintage cheeses.
SERVICE TEMPERATURE:
18 - 20 °C
PRESERVATION:
It is advisable to keep the bottle in a cool and ventilated place, protecting it from any source of heat, light and excessive noise and vibrations.
